Knit Hanna’s mittens from Avaträsk. This knitting pattern is based on an older original from the Dorotea area. The original mitten was worn by Hanna Lindberg from Avaträsk, a schoolteacher and a skilled textile craftswoman.
The pattern is developed by knitting expert Erika Nordvall Falck, who specializes in recreating traditional knitting patterns based on preserved original mittens. Each pattern is based on a real historical mitten that has been carefully studied and reconstructed with great respect for the original.
Knitting pattern for mittens in three adult sizes. The yarn is sufficient for the smallest size and, with some luck, also for the medium size.
Needles are not included, but 2.00–2.25 mm needles are recommended.
